Dear Elementary School Principal and Music Teacher,
Thank you for your interest in providing high-quality arts exposure to your students through The Music JuiceBox Series. Your school is considered among one of ten Title One elementary schools in the Clark County School District for this music education outreach program of Notes with a Purpose, free of cost to participating schools.
We are absolutely thrilled to present this series for the second year and are thankful to our underwriters, the Nevada Arts Council and the Las Vegas Science & Technology Festival — yes, this means this semester’s tour involves music and science, with the theme being "Science of Sound".
Having hand-picked the nation’s top classical musicians from Carnegie Hall to present an engaging Interactive Performance for your students, we are certain that your students will be inspired by the arts.
As Principal Tony Davis from Wayne N. Tanaka ES remarked from the 2016-17 tour:
“I want to thank you for allowing your performers to visit the students at Tanaka Elementary. Their musical background and giftedness with instruments was outstanding. I however was even more impressed with their skill at educating and entertaining the audience. The overall presentation was simply brilliant and quite frankly one of the best I have ever seen.”

Frequently Asked Questions
Could the performance be scaled to a different length of time?
Yes. While we recommend 45 minutes of uninterrupted time with the students from being seated to dismissal, we like to finish with a Q&A for students, with flexibility of approximately 5-10 minutes added or removed for the performance length.
Could we combine fourth and fifth grade classes?
As educators, you will agree that it is more effective for us to cater to one grade level at a time. That being said, if your combined fourth and fifth grade class is fewer than 150 students, we will consider the exception.
What if we only have room for one assembly?
Please submit the form regardless, and we will try to accommodate the visit. For the one assembly, we would recommend leaving time for students to have an uninterrupted 45 minute assembly.
What do you need from our end?
Students should be prepared by their teacher(s) about what it means to be a successful and attentive audience.
Each assembly should have no more than 150 students.
Students will be in the 4th and 5th grade level (one grade per assembly is recommended).
Students are preferred to be seated on the ground, not tables.

About Notes with a Purpose
Notes with a Purpose’s mission is to bring high-quality musical experiences in creative and unique ways to unprivileged and at-risk youth, parents, and underserved populations, with an emphasis on making classical music accessible in untraditional venues. In the twelve months since June 2016, NWP’s two outreach programs (The Music JuiceBox Series and Wednesdays Live at the Mission) reached over 18,000 people and was a recipient of the Father Eugène Merlet Community Service Award. This third season will add another outreach program, the Lullaby Project. Season two’s estimated and intended live audience reach is 25,000, including >25% of fourth and fifth grade Title One students in the Clark County School District.
