A Lullaby for Mother’s Day

Give a Lullaby.
Help a Mother Be Heard.

This Mother’s Day, we invite you to honor a mother in a way that lasts.

Through Lullaby Project – Southern Nevada, Notes with a Purpose is partnering with mothers in transitional housing at Living Grace Homes to create deeply personal lullabies for their babies—songs of love, comfort, and connection.

A lullaby is more than a song.

It is a mother’s voice saying: I am here. You are loved. You belong.

Our Goal

Our goal is to fund 8 lullabies for Mother’s Day.

It is a mother’s voice saying: I am here. You are loved. You belong.

Give & Receive

For those who feel called, this gift can also become something personal—a lullaby created for your own family, or for someone you love.

Through Lullaby Project – Southern Nevada, Notes with a Purpose partners with mothers in high-stress circumstances to create deeply personal lullabies for their babies—songs of love, comfort, and hope.

In collaboration with Living Grace Homes, we are bringing this work to young mothers in our community who are navigating housing instability, uncertainty, and the challenges of early parenthood.

Each mother is paired with professional teaching artists to write her own lullaby—drawing from her story, her voice, and her dreams for her child. These lullabies are then recorded, creating a lasting keepsake she can return to again and again.

A lullaby is more than a song.
It is a mother’s voice saying: I am here. You are loved. You belong.

Why this matters

The Lullaby Project, developed by Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute, supports maternal health, strengthens the bond between parent and child, and aids early childhood development.

Research shows that singing to infants can calm and engage babies, reduce distress, and support language development. It can also support a caregiver’s own sense of well-being, confidence, and emotional connection to their child.

For families navigating difficult circumstances, that connection is not small—it is foundational.

Our Mother’s Day Goal

This Mother’s Day, our goal is to raise $25,000 to fund our inaugural pilot—bringing the Lullaby Project to mothers at Living Grace Homes.

One complete lullaby experience for a mother in need includes:

  • songwriting sessions with professional teaching artists

  • personalized lullaby creation

  • recording and production

  • a lasting musical keepsake for mother and child

You are not simply making a donation.
You are making a moment of connection possible.

Give a Lullaby. Receive a Lullaby.

For those who feel called, this gift can also become something personal.

By choosing the Give & Receiveoption, you also receive a personalized lullaby of your own—created in collaboration with our artists at a later date, or gifted to someone you love.

One act of generosity. Two deeply meaningful outcomes.

Honor a mother by helping one be heard

Whether you give in honor of your mother, your grandmother, your child’s mother, or in gratitude for your own journey, your gift will help bring a lullaby into the world.

This Mother’s Day, help a mother sing to her child.

Frequently Asked Questions

💙 What is the Lullaby Project?

The Lullaby Project brings professional musicians together with parents to write and record a personal lullaby for their child.

These songs become lasting expressions of love, identity, and connection—often created during times of transition or challenge.

💙 How much does it cost to create one lullaby?

It costs approximately $3,300 to create one lullaby for a mother in our program.

This includes:

  • multiple guided sessions with a teaching artist

  • composition and arrangement

  • recording and production

  • program coordination and participant support

💙 What does “Give & Receive” mean?

When you reserve your own lullaby experience, you are fully funding a lullaby for a mother in need—now.

In return, you’ll participate in the process yourself this summer, working with one of our teaching artists to create a lullaby for your own family.

💙 Why isn’t the "Give & Receive" experience exactly double the cost?

The two experiences are structured differently.

The lullabies created for mothers in our program include additional layers of support, coordination, and documentation.

The sponsoring family experience is more streamlined, while still offering a meaningful and artist-led creative process.

💙 What does the sponsoring family experience include?

  • Up to three personalized sessions with a teaching artist

  • Collaborative songwriting and storytelling

  • A custom lullaby created for your family

  • A recorded version of your lullaby

  • A beautifully presented lyric keepsake

Optional enhancements—such as a live in-studio recording experience—are available after reserving your lullaby.

💙 When will I receive my lullaby experience?

If your gift includes the opportunity to receive a lullaby, we will be in touch in the coming weeks to personally connect with you. Following the completion of our Living Grace Homes pilot in May, we will begin shaping that process together.

💙 Can I sponsor a lullaby over time?

Yes. We’re happy to offer flexible payment options—please reach out to us directly and we’ll work with you to make this possible.

💙 Do I need to be a musician?

Not at all.

This process is guided entirely by our teaching artists. You bring your story—we help shape it into music.

💙 Can I sponsor a lullaby without participating?

Yes.

You may choose to fully sponsor a lullaby for $3,300 without participating in the experience yourself.

💙 How are the mothers selected?

We are partnering with Living Grace Homes to serve mothers who are navigating significant life transitions, including homelessness, and would benefit from this experience of creative connection and support.

💙 How are stories shared?

We document this work thoughtfully and with full consent. Any stories, images, or videos shared publicly are done so with care and respect for each family’s comfort and privacy.

If you have additional questions, we would love to connect with you directly. You can reach us at giving@noteswithapurpose.org.
