Hear What a Lullaby Can Become
These lullabies are created through collaboration between mothers and Teaching Artists—each one shaped by a personal story, a voice, and a moment of connection.
Hear the lullabies created by mothers and Teaching Artists during our May 2026 pilot with Living Grace Homes, with many of the mothers singing their own lullabies. Listen out for their special dedication to their children inside each lullaby:
In this pilot, mothers at Living Grace Homes worked with professional teaching artists in and local musicians in Southern Nevada to write and record personal lullabies for their babies. Each song began with a mother’s own words—her hopes, memories, prayers and love—and became a lasting keepsake for her child.
Lullaby Project – Southern Nevada is part of Carnegie Hall’s Lullaby Project, a program of Carnegie Hall’s Weill Music Institute. Carnegie’s partner handbook specifically describes the project as pairing new and expecting parents and caregivers with professional artists to write and sing personal lullabies that support maternal health, childhood development and parent-child bonding.
To honor the dignity and privacy of participating families, we share these lullabies with care. Names and identifying details may be limited, while the songs themselves remain a celebration of each mother’s creativity, courage and love. Carnegie’s guidance also recommends publicly sharing only participants’ first names to protect privacy while highlighting their creativity and artistry.
